RENEWABLE ENERGIES AND POWER EFFICIENCY
The demand for cleaner energy sources increases day by day. Although the amount of energy available in the environment is enormous, in order for it to be exploited efficiently new harnessing methods need to be researched in depth.
VICUSdt, by its multidisciplinary nature, is the most suitable partner to collaborate in the development of new innovating systems for the use of all types of renewable energy sources. Among other projects, we are currently working on the development of the wave-energy system Wavecat, in collaboration with Norvento Enerxía, the CIS, Santiago university and A Coruña university.

The Wavecat system will allow the use of the offshore wave energy by means of the wave concentration in its convergent hulls, which increases its height overflowing to lateral tanks, from where it is circulated through a turbine specially designed for the low heights available. |
