VICUSdt continues to development the permanent magnet motor

The development of permanent magnet motor never stops, and new modifications from the thermal point of view are being carried out further, addressed to get operating conditions extremer and an enhancement of the machine performance.

The electrical current flow through conductors produces that some of the kinetic energy is converted into heat leading to an increase in temperature. This temperature limits the electrical performance increase in certain important parts of the machine and therefore the power to deliver.

So VICUSdt, always making use of the most advanced techniques of numerical calculation, is performing studies to detect these hot spots of the machine by thermofluidynamic simulations. The redesign of these areas, well by geometric modifications or well by material changes, will reduce the reached temperature of the machine and as consequence, will give rise to a machine with extremer operating conditions.
