VICUS DESARROLLOS TECNOLOGICOS S.L. (VICUSdt) is a technological, dynamic and innovating company, committed to research and technological development in the shipping and energy sectors.
The company was founded with the aim of creating our research team of personnel enabled to develop or to give support in all types of R+D+i projects.
Our research team is specialized in the analysis and design using the most up-to-date CAD-CAE tools.

The company has three main research lines at the moment:

Hydrodynamics: Research, design and hydrodynamic analysis using the most advanced hydrodynamic simulation tools (CFD). We are in search for a new evolution of ships’ hull, propellers and rudders, analyzing the interaction between these elements with the intention of offering our clients with greater power efficiency combinations.

Research in innovative electrical machines: Developing new concepts of electrical machines adapted as motors or generators in special applications such as naval propulsion, renewable environmental power sources and hydroelectric turbines. Several patents being developed.

Other work areas include the development of data acquisition system for the consumption and power efficiency in ships, as well as steering gear control system for dynamic positioning operation.

VICUSdt is the most suitable technological partner for multidisciplinary innovation projects in which it is necessary to develop complex devices and where different engineering fields come into play.
